So, I have become obsessed with Money Lately. Yes...MONEY....! It's strange really. Money is Evil. Money does make the world go round. Money does buy happiness....or does it?!?!
I say this because we have recently relocated to a entirely different state so my husband could get a better paying job....BETTER PAY.....well, is it really better pay when you spend money by going on weekend outings, buying new stuff, enjoying the newest restaurant that opened?!?!
I have spent countless hours on the internet looking at things such as "how to cut your grocery bill", "where to get useful coupons", "debt payoff calculators"...and the list goes on, even as far as downloading Apps from teh Android Market like Gas Buddy and Trip Planner....so when we do take off, we can get the best lowest prices for things.
Everyone needs money, it's a fact of life this day in age. I only wish I could go back to the days of my Great Grandmother who is 103 years old, when $10.00 A WEEK was considered a "GREAT Paying job".....and you didn't have to have all of these frivilous things, like HDTV's, I-PADS, Laptops, Digital Cameras, Cell Phones, not to mention clothing, furniture and cars just to keep up with Society. But the fact is, it's not the 1900's, it's the 2000's!! (lol, I love saying that) and it's just not possible to live off of $10.00 a week, or $100.00 a week!!!
So, is money evil?!? YES. Does it make the world go round? Well, not exactly, but if you don't have ANY at all, you won't get far. And does Money buy happiness?!!? NO. In fact, Money creates bitterness, hard feelings and hatered when it's being used in a,n out of control manner.
So, as I write this, I have set little "mini-goals" for my family when it comes to the evil green stuff. And slowly, but surely, we will get there, but it's going to take a lot of discipline and hard work on my part to get us there.
